Centre Urban Real Estate is a privately held, vertically integrated commercial real estate development, investment management, and operating platform focused on innovative and sustainable place-making solutions. Our core strategy is to develop, own, and operate real estate through our investment management platform. To complement our investment strategies, Centre Urban provides real estate advisory, property management, and brokerage services through its group of companies. Centre Urban is headquartered in Los Angeles with an office in Honolulu. 

Centre Urban's primary focus is in the multifamily and commercial mixed-use asset classes, with a secondary focus on select healthcare assets, in select supply-constraint, urban infill markets where we can achieve superior risk-adjusted returns. Centre Urban excels with challenging real estate opportunities, concentrating on non-traditional and under-performing properties where value can be maximized through innovative thinking. With over $500 million of full-cycle real estate projects completed and over a century of combined principal and board experience, our existing portfolio now includes several multifamily and commercial properties located in Southern California.

Hill Street Development Site

Centre Urban executed the sale of 717-759 North Hill Street in January 2021, consisting of approximately 82,120 square feet of land located within the rapidly expanding Chinatown market near Downtown Los Angeles. The property is currently zoned C2-2D Regional Commercial and Transit Oriented Community (TOC) Tier 3, a key designation for sites within a half mile of a transit station. ​Centre Urban is currently advising the lender of this project as it is proceeding through the entitlement process.

  • Multifamily: Seeking out acquisition and development opportunities where Centre Urban can unlock value through a number of strategies, including effective management, asset rehabilitation, repositioning, adaptive reuse, redevelopment, and creative recapitalization. 
  • Affordable and Workforce Housing: Centre Urban will seek opportunities to partner with non-profit affordable housing developers on Affordable multifamily development projects. While Centre Urban does not focus on tax-credit or grant applications, we provide a valuable resource as a key partner in the entitlement, pre-development, construction, stabilization, and operations of any Affordable project. In any jurisdiction where zoning and entitlement laws allow, Centre Urban will pursue workforce and moderate income housing development opportunities.
